Pilates is a low-impact workout which makes it one of the best types of exercise for weight loss.
You probably think that you have to do lots of cardio, running and hiit workouts to lose body fat, and that “sweat is fat crying”. This is so far from the truth, at least for women.
Women’s bodies are completely different from men’s, especially when it comes to hormones and the way they impact our health.
If you stress your body with extensive workouts, you can impact your hormones in a negative way, and do more harm than good.
That is why I suggest you focus mostly on gentle low impact pilates workouts, no longer than 20-30 minutes.
I suggest adding cardio, hiit and heavy weight training only 5-6 times a month.
Try moving your body on a daily basis, not for the sake of weight loss, but because you deserve to be fit & healthy and to feel good in your body.
Pilates will tone the entire body, strengthen deep core muscles, tighten your belly, and shape your legs, and not only that you will lose weight but you will look even leaner and taller because your posture will be significantly improved.
If your goal is to lose weight, I suggest doing low impact pilates 4 times a week, and only 1 or 2 times cardio pilates, hiit or pilates with weights.

This 15 min Full Body Cardio Hiit will increase your energy flow and make you sweat in such a short time. This is the best Cardio HIIT and Upper Body Strength training when you need a quick way to move your body, lose lots of calories and strengthen your arms. In this Full Body Cardio Hiit Pilates we are using dumbbells per 1 kg weight, you can choose lighter hand weights, but it will be intensive even without any weights.
This is a pretty intensive class that will help you tone beautiful and lean legs and arms. We are using dumbbells per 1 kg, but if it’s too challenging you can do it without hand weights. It’s optional and make this class your very own. Go easy, slowly at your own pace, enjoy and control every single move. Don’t speed up when you notice it burning too much, rather do less repetitions, but easy and with mindful movement.
Pilates can really help you lose weight, but to achieve results faster I suggest adding a long-term high-quality nutrition plan as well.
One of the best ways to change the way you eat is to find something sustainable, that will help you stay consistent.
Create a balanced meal plan for the whole month that contains carbs (whole grain), healthy fats, fiber (lots of vegetables), vitamins (lots of fruits), minerals, and drink at least 2 liters of water daily. Avoid processed foods, sugar, soda, and alcohol.
You will achieve great results, lose weight, maintain your healthy wait and feel great in your body if you start eating balanced, and exercise as mentioned above.
Also, walking with your best friend or bike ride can help speed up the weight loss process a lot, so try incorporating it whenever you can.
