Stay FIT for Holidays
I am sharing with you my guidelines, which can help you to implement good habits in your daily routine, to "survive" holiday season even more fit and strong.
Stay fit during holidays – not an easy job. As the year is coming to the end, we start to feel joyful and euphoric, because for many of us, that’s time when we meet with our families, friends or we are visiting parties and events. And this busy period of the year is great to forget about all our habits, exercising, healthy eating and all those things we do during the year ,to maintain our health and fitness. Even though this year we have COVID-19, which caused some changes in the way we live, if we don’t find the way to be with our family and friends, we will anyway, maybe even more intensively, find the way to eat and drink much – to compensate the feeling of loneliness. So, in order to prevent this happening to you, I am sharing with you my guidelines, which can help you to implement good habits in your daily routine, to “survive” holiday season even more fit and strong.
Do your workout first thing in the morning! Not only that you will ensure that nothing is going to ruin your schedule and that you have the whole day free for other activities, but this will also boost your self-control and healthy mood for the rest of the day. Furthermore, studies have shown that POWER OF WILL is higher in the morning. So, grab your mat and start working out before you even realise what are you doing!
To help you maintain your fitness routine, I’ve created a QUICK HOLIDAY SEASON WORKOUT, which consists of short, 10 min workouts. Each workout has different body part as focus. It can be found in Online Studio Pilatesness, where you have 7-day free trial >>> CLICK HERE TO JOIN
Drinking a glass of water first thing after waking up helps to start metabolic process in the morning. Especially if you had too much to drink the day before, water will help stay hydrated. Even better rule is drinking one glass of water after every alcoholic beverage. You will be surprised how much better you will feel the next day.

I just can’t stress it enough how simple walking is important for your overall health. If you take a brisk pace it can be great cardio exercise. Walking can help to lower your blood pressure, lose weight, and feel less stress. Make a deal with your spouse to push each other to have a walk every day after lunch. I walk with my husband every day and it’s my favourite part of the day. We spend time together (alone), talk to each other and walk. It’s so healthy for your body and for your marriage / relationship too.
Unless you are complimenting how some food looks or taste, try to avoid talking about food all the time. Don’t talk about calories, fat and other details, especially in a negative way. Look at your own plate and don’t judge yourself for the food you’ve ate. Also, try to avoid mentioning how other people look or complimenting them if they have lost weight. It can make the others feel bad, if they are struggling on their weight loss journey.
And, finally, try to relax and don’t stress about food. Eat that cake if that makes you happy and later use these calorie surplus as a fuel to workout even harder. And, please don’t think about workout as something your should do as a punishment. Rather approach to your workout as something to make you feel better, look better and allows you to stay fit for holidays.
